In addition, he was the first spouse of gospel singer Kenny Saint Brown, the sister of Kenny Ogungbe, the man who started Kennis Music.

Eddy Remedy completed his elementary and secondary education in Benin City’s St. Paul’s Primary School and Edokpolor Grammar School, respectively.

In 1995, Eddy Remedy relocated to Lagos to further his musical career. He enrolled in the Mass Communication program at Yaba College of Technology. He received a Higher National Diploma upon graduating in 1997.

In 1998, the trio released their debut album, Peace Nigeria, which included the hit song “Shakomo.” The group was largely considered as the pioneers of Nigerian hip hop music, and it achieved enormous popularity and success.

Eddy Remedy departed The Remedies in 1999 due to a series of disagreements and issues with Abdulkareem. He accused Abdulkareem of being a liar, betrayer, and greedy individual who wanted to grab all of the credit and money for the group’s accomplishments. Eddy Remedy began his solo career in 2000 and released his debut album, Eddy na Eddy, through Kennis Music in 2002. The CD included popular songs like Wa gba Control and Aye mi Temi. The album got positive feedback from fans and critics, earning him several nominations and prizes, including Best Male Vocalist at the 2003 Nigerian Music prizes.

Evergreen, Eddy Remedy’s second album, was released in 2004. The album featured songs like Ghetto and Iyawo. The album was also a commercial and critical triumph, establishing him as one of Nigeria’s leading solo performers.

Eddy Remedy returns to music in 2016 with a new tune titled Baby. The song was a collaboration with Ruggedman, a Nigerian rapper and friend.
