Controversial social media influencer Martins Otse, aka VeryDarkMan, has revealed how he obtained a contested phone recording of transvestite Idris Okuneye, aka Bobrisky.

VeryDarkMan admitted to having the phone recording during his Monday testimony before the House of Representatives Joint Committee on Financial Crimes and Reformatory Institutions.
The blogger was also invited to speak before the committee during the hearing, but he sent a lawyer rather than Bobrisky, thus the blogger first declined.
Legislators, on the other hand, disagreed with the blogger's claims and filed a motion requiring him to speak on the subject of the voice clip he published.The committee threatened to utilize its legislative authority to arrest the blogger immediately, but he refused, insisting on speaking through his attorney instead.
However, his counsel persuades him to speak to the committee, which he does a few minutes later.
As he showed the committee a section of the footage, he verified the viral audio file's authenticity by claiming it came from someone Bobrisky owed money to.
Idris Okuneye, best known by her stage name Bobrisky, was heard on a blogger-posted recording stating that she paid N15 million to some Economic and Financial Crimes Commission officers to have the money laundering charge against her dropped.
The crossdresser, together with the Controller-General of the Nigerian Correctional Service, Haliru Nababa, declared in the alleged video that her "godfather" ensured she served her six-month sentence in a private apartment rather than a prison. In reaction to the widely shared audio, EFCC Chairman Dele Oyewale issued an order last Tuesday to conduct an immediate investigation into the case.
Bobrisky, on the other hand, contended that he had completed his prison sentence and denied paying any EFCC officer to drop the money laundering charges against him. The combative social media celebrity went on to say that the claim that he had never been incarcerated was false and should be dismissed, calling the widely circulated audio clip as fraudulent.
Following a motion proposed by Akwa Ibom member Patrick Umoh, the lower house of parliament resolved on Thursday to investigate the bribery claims against the NCoS and the EFCC. In a letter dated September 27, the joint committee demanded that Bobrisky, VerDarkman, Olukoyode, and Nababa attend on Monday, as well as all other officers involved in the allegation.
